New Patient Information

Preparing for Your Initial Consultation

  • After your booking has been made you will receive a welcome letter with some new patient forms to fill in. If you are unable to fill them in online could you please arrive 5 minutes early of your appointment time to complete them upon arrival.

  • New patient appointments range between 30-45 minutes, depending on the complexity of your referral and medical history.

  • A family member or support person is welcome to attend to help with decision-making.

  • Your specialist will consult with you, may perform an ECG and might recommend further diagnostic tests.

Fees, Charges, and Payments

  • Melbourne Cardiology Group are  private consulting rooms. Your consultation is subject to a private fee, with Medicare rebates available on the day for patients with a current referral. Full pricing details are on your patient registration form.

  • Payment is required on the day of your consultation.

  • We accept all major credit cards, cash and cheques.

  • Some specific appointments require a deposit and all Telehealth consultations require prepayment
